Antonio Conte set for chelsea conference
The former Italy boss will meet the media for the first time as manager of his new club on Thursday afternoon after starting work at the club earlier in the week
Antonio Conte will be officially unveiled as the Chelsea manager on Thursday at 14:00 GMT at a media event at Stamford Bridge where he is expected to speak in English.
Hundreds of journalists are expected to attend the event, as the 46-year-old took charge of the club on Monday from interim boss Guus Hiddink.
Conte has been learning English intensively since December last year, despite only being announced as Chelsea manager at the beginning of April.
His first official day at Stamford Bridge came on Monday, after he took a week's holiday following the elimination of his Italy side from Euro 2016 at the quarter-final stage with defeat to Germany.
Conte took his first Chelsea training session on Wednesday, with players not involved in international competition this summer having worked with the club coaches in his absence.
The club will fly out to Austria on Friday before Conte takes the reins for the first time in a pre-season match against Rapid Vienna the following day.
July 20 will see Chelsea take on WAC RZ Pellets, before leaving for the United States to continue preparations for the Premier League opener against West Ham on August 15.
