Afro Music is taking over the world gradually as International musicians are beginning to Adopt the amazing African sound into their music. The operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of Lagos State Police Command, have arrested a self-acclaimed Chairman of pickpockets in Oshodi, Ibrahim Kasali, and 21 other suspects alleged to be involved in stealing and robbing innocent members of public in the area.   The raiding, which took place at about 4:30 a.m. and ended at 6:35 am , early hours of Friday August 26th, 2016, witnessed the operatives combing Mosafejo, Bolade, Oshodi Oke, and Oshodi Under Bridge, arresting the hoodlums and social miscreants waiting for early rush to pickpocket passers-by and passengers. The suspect, who is popularly known as Ibrahim Babangida of Oshodi, was nabbed during the operation while being chased by passengers of a bus which he boarded to pickpocket.   It was gathered that Kasali is feared by his colleagues for his ruthlessness and popularity. Some of his colleagues earlier arrested gave him out as their leader, and that he is the one that goes around to collect items stolen or snatched

To further assist the internally displaced persons and enhance civil-military relations, troops of 21 Brigade, 7 Division Nigerian Army, have established a temporary school for the children at the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp located in Bama town, Bama Local Government Area of Borno State using military tents. The school comprised 6 military tents in which soldiers not on essential duty served as t eachers. In addition, some of the IDPs who were teachers before the their displacement, also teach in the school.   Presently, the school has a population of over 3,000 children. Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode at the weekend carried out extensive  inspection of on-going projects across the State, among which is the multi-faceted expansion projects at the ever busy Berger Bus Stop. The Governor, who ordered contractors to work day and night on the projects to ensure completion by December 2016, said the directive became imperative in view of the strategic importance of the axis being the major gateway to the State. The expansion projects at Berger include the construction of about 700 meters slip road through which traffic outward Lagos-Ibadan Expressway can connect Omole Phase Two, Magodo Phase One and Olowoora. The road, which was designed with drainage channels, side walks and street light, is about 6 meters wide and can conveniently accommodate two vehicles at a time. Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Irish musician and lead vocalist of rock band U2, Bono arrived Maiduguri today on a day official visit. He was received by Borno state Governor Hon. Kashim Shettima, Senate Majority Leader, Ali Ndume and other top government officials.   The 56-year-old singer-songwriter is widely known for his activism concerning Africa, for which he co-founded DATA, EDUN, the ONE Campaign and Product Red. He was gunned down in Las Vegas 1996 at the age of 25 but conspiracy theories surround his demise and rumours abound that he is alive.  The latest 'proof' that the rapper is not dead is a selfie (left) included in a YouTube video allegedly showing Tupac - or a man who looks similar to him. Subtitles in the video allege the picture was taken in in 2015 on a phone 'made in 2011'. The clip has been watched more than 1.4 million times. Suge Knight, the former CEO of Death Row Records who was with Tupac on the night of the shooting added fuel to the fire in 2012 when he hinted the rapper may be alive, he said he never saw the body. 'Maybe the question is, Pac's not really dead. Pac's somewhere else,' he said during a radio interview. Other 'new' pictures of the rapper have emerged in the past, however they have been proven to be of other people or edited.
