Photos: Giant whale butchered in Akassa, Bayelsa State

Photos shared on Facebook showed residents of Akassa, Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State butchering a huge whale for food. The photos showed a large crowd, including men, women and children at the river cutting the whale into several pieces. It is not clear if the animal washed up half alive or dead. Foreigner accuses Abuja hotel of food poisoning and theft (photos)

A woman from Trinidad and Tobago is accusing an Abuja hotel, Sabbatical Suites, of food poisoning and revealed that her bag was also stolen while she was lodged there. Carlene said she was given a meal prepared with rotten meat and the hotel management apologised after she called their attention to it. She later fell really ill as a result and was admitted to two different hospitals in Abuja, Nigeria.   The hotel management promised to take care of her medical expenses but never did.
