The Nigeria Police Force has arrested twelve suspects over the kidnap of twin girls on 21st October, 2018 in Dauran village, Zurmi local government area of Zamfara state.The twins, Hassana Bala and Hussaina Bala were kidnapped when they went to distribute their wedding invitation cards.  Police spokesman, DCP Jimoh Moshood, while parading the suspects on Monday at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, said the operatives of the IGP Intelligence Response Team (IRT) carried out a discrete investigation into the matter and succeeded in the arrest of twelve suspects who were directly responsible for the kidnap of the twins.He said the suspects were arrested in various hideouts in Katsina and Zamfara states, adding that, they confessed and admitted to the roles they played in the kidnapping of the twins and other armed robberies, kidnapping and cattle rustling. Authorities in Texas have arrested a man who was armed while on his way to a church with claims that he was going to the house of God to go 'fulfill a prophecy'.33-year-old Tony Dwayne Albert II was arrested in Seguin, a suburb outside San Antonio, after a passerby saw the man carrying a handgun outside just before 7am on Sunday and called the police immediately.An off-duty Seguin officer reportedly responded to the call and found Albert armed. The embassy in Nigeria said in a Facebook post that the development was caused by the government shutdown in the US. The statement read, “Due to the current US government shutdown, the American centres located in the embassy, Abuja and Consulate-General, Lagos are unfortunately closed. They will re-open once the US government shutdown is resolved.
