Alleged fraud: Ex-Minister, Adeseye Ogunlewe, resigns appointment as FUNAAB’s pro-chancellor

Former Minister of Works, Adesye Ogunlewe, has resigned his appointment as the pro-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, FUNAAB. His resignation comes days after himself, the Vice Chancellor and Bursar of the University were arraigned before the Ogun State High Court, Abeokuta on 18 counts, bordering on conspiracy, stealing, obtaining money by false pretences and abuse of office. Part of his resignation letter reads;


"I have decided to resign my appointment as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta with immediate effect. This is due to personal reasons. I sincerely thank the Federal Government for giving me the opportunity to serve. The Federal Government should please accept the assurances of my best regards”.
