 GovernorAjimobi orders the re-opening of Bodija market 48-hours after butchers andpolice clashGovernor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State today ordered with immediate effect, the re-opening of Bodija market in Ibadan, the state capital. The market was closed on Thursday afternoon after a clash reported to have claimed about six lives occurred between butchers and men of the Oyo State Police command. Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Toye Arulogun who announced the reopening of the market explained that the decision was taken after due consultation with security agencies and all the stakeholders of the market. He assured that adequate security measures have been put in place by the government to forestall any crisis and ensure that people go about their normal businesses.
