One week after, several persons still trapped in Rivers 7-storey building collapse

Several persons are still trapped in the rubbles of the 7-storey building that collapsed in New GRA in Rivers state last week Friday November 23rd.The building which was under construction, collapsed, trapping many of the workers that had come in on that day to collect their pay.The rescue team comprising of state and private operators, have been working to ensure they rescue all those still trapped in the building.Over 7 bodies have been recovered while 25 persons have been rescued alive.The state Commissioner for Urban Development and Physical Planning, Dr Reason Onya, announced he was voluntarily stepping aside to enable a comprehensive investigation into thr collapse.The post One week after, several persons still trapped in Rivers 7-storey building collapse appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.

A Nigerian hairdresser has cried out for help after she was tricked to leave her job in Nigeria and travel to Oman to seek greener pasture.
