US president, Donald Trump, took to Twitter, Monday afternoon to say that the Government shutdown, the longest in US history, due to inability of the Democratic Party Controlled House's refusal to agree to his border wall funding, was now the faults of the Democrats, eliciting harsh responses from his followers on the social media platform. It should be remembered that last month, Trump went on National TV alongside House leaders, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, to ask for compromise from the Democrats on his proposed $5 billion dollars on a wall along the US southern border, threatening that he won't sign the budget for government funding, and would proudly be responsible for a government shutdown, if it means ensuring national security for the American people.Trump Tweeted ;"I’ve been waiting all weekend. Democrats must get to work now. Border must be secured!''Nancy and Cryin’ Chuck can end the Shutdown in 15 minutes. At this point it has become their, and the Democrats, fault!' His followers on reading the tweet, blasted him..The post Trump's Twitter followers blast him after he says government shutdown is 'Democrats fault' which they can end in 15 minutes, weeks after he claimed responsibility. appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
